Join Vivent Health Austin and the Austin Area HIV Planning Council for a powerful evening of community dialogue, advocacy, and collective action at the Community Empowerment Townhall on Monday, June 1, from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Austin Permitting & Development Center.
This gathering is more than a town hall. This is an opportunity for our community to come together, share lived experiences, and help shape the future of HIV care, prevention, and support in Austin with stakeholders, elected officials, and leaders. At a time when healthcare access, equity, and community voices matter more than ever, this event will create space for honest conversations about the challenges facing people impacted by HIV and the solutions we can build together.
Community members, advocates, healthcare professionals, clients, and allies are invited to engage in meaningful discussions around HIV advocacy, stigma reduction, access to culturally responsive healthcare, housing and social support needs, and the importance of sustained community leadership. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with local organizations, hear from leaders and changemakers, and learn how they can become more involved in advancing health equity across Austin.
This townhall is rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when communities are empowered to lead the conversation. Whether you are directly impacted by HIV, work in public health, support a loved one, or simply want to stand in solidarity with your community, your voice and presence matter.
Together, we can strengthen connections, elevate community priorities, and continue building a healthier, more compassionate future for everyone.
Food & Refreshments will be provided.
