HCAO and Indivisible East Portland is bringing you 7 days with 7 demonstrations of why health care is broken and why we fight for universal health care. We have several educational events, a candle light vigil and plan to end the week with a rally at Dawson Park! We hope you can join us for many of these events.
On June 2nd, we have three fabulous health care workers that want to share their experience under the current privatized system and how it is affecting them and their patients.
Health care workers know that we are always being asked to do more and more with less. And we know that our patients deserve better! We have also seen patients denied the resources they need because insurance dictates the care. Hear from our panelists and ask any question you have.
Our Panelists:
Megan Beck, Registered Dietician A strong advocate in her field for patient education and safety. She also serves as a strong advocate and leader for universal health care within HCAO and in her position in Care Corps within the DSA.
Tony Germann, Family Practice Physician Dr. Germann received his MD from UC Davis and his Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He is a rural family medicine doctor providing care in the Woodburn and Silverton areas, practicing at Salud Medical Clinic, where his other responsibilities include Clinical Medical Director.
Isabel, RN Currently running her own practice with an NP. Her difficulties entering private practice and having to deal with the chaos and difficulty of insurance has encouraged her to become an advocate for universal health care.
